Why keep making list of things you want to do when you can make a list of the things you have done/your accomplishments?
Started my fitness journey-2012
The single best decision I have ever made in my life.
I adopted a positive way of life-2012
The other single best decision that I have ever made in my life.
Survived losing one of my best friends-2013
I still miss you more than anything Grandma, and that will never change. I have come to the conclusion that I am never really going to move on, I am just adapting to this new way of life.
Got my last birthday card from Grandma-2013
I was so lucky that she did them so early on in the year… I still remember seeing tears in Grandpa’s eyes when I opened the card. My hands were shaking, my eyes were tearing up, and my words were very broken up. It was the best birthday present that I could have received.
Bought my first car-2013
Figured out my future goals-2013-present
Right now, I know what I want. I want to be an Occupational Therapist. My tentative plan is to go to Graduate school after I get my B.S. Who knows what will happen or where I will end up? But as of right now, this is where I am headed.
Met Thomas Rhett at the Luke Bryan concert-2013
Thanks to my best friend for getting me the tickets for my birthday. So we are basically on a first name basis him now.
Witnessed my best friend marry her high school sweetheart-2013
I love you sissy… still one of the best days of my life. There was 70-degree weather on December 21? We all know it was you grandma, thank you. Thank you for making the best day of my sisters life, perfect.
Got into George Mason University-2014
When I was in high school, I never even thought that I would go to college… now I am planning on going to graduate school. Isn’t it crazy how things work out?
Stood on the glass platform in the Willis Tower-2014
I hate heights… It was one of the scariest things I have ever done… but I did it. It took me nearly 15 minutes to do it, but I did it. Thank you for pushing me Shelby, I couldn't have done it without you.
Speaking of the Willis Tower-2014
I survived getting stranded in Chicago at midnight with my sister in the freezing cold with no cell phones... enough said.
I paid for an entire vacation off money ONLY from my tips-2014
ST. THOMAS you were so good to me.
Overcame my test anxiety-2014
Seems small, but I still remember the first test last school year that I got an A on… from then on I realized that my test anxiety sprouted from the fact that I really did not study to my full potential. It takes a lot more effort on my part, but now I am to the point where I used to be happy to get a C on a test… now I am not even satisfied with a B.
Witnessed Jillian’s First Communion-2015
My little baby is growing up so quickly and it is so bittersweet.
I overcame my fear of performing a handstand-2015
Basically I am a gymnast now, right?
Got a ‘big girl’ job-2015
I’ve been working at Nathan’s Dairy Bar since I was 15… (6 years now) and I love it. It was definitely the best first job that any teenager could have, but unfortunately, we have to all move on at some point. I am still working at Nathan’s in my free time (which is on the weekends) but now I am an Exercise Specialist at a Physical Therapy office.
These may not seem like big accomplishments to some people, but to me these are all big deals to me. For me, it is all about the little things, it doesn't take much to please me/make me happy. But I am beyond thankful and appreciative for all of the opportunities that I have gotten within the past few years. These are just some things here and there that I am proud to have accomplished/happy to have memories of.
What are some bucket list items you are happy to cross off?
