Today in the life of Kylie, the lesson was FOLLOWING YOUR INTUITION! (I should really start making daily blog posts on the lessons that I learn everyday.) Anyways, 0 part of me wants to talk about how this lesson came into play today... so instead, I want to talk about finding your intuition and listening to it. If I can help just one person connect with their soul, I will be happy.
If you think something feels wrong – it probably is. If you think you shouldn’t be doing something – you probably shouldn’t. So often we tend to suppress our intuition, and we end up usually learning very valuable lessons from it.
What is your intuition? Your intuition is your inner voice. It is your gut feeling.
There is one thing that I am sure about in this world, and that is my intuition. I can actually say that it has never been wrong. Does that mean that I have always done the right thing? Hell no! I hardly ever listen to my intuition. It’s actually really sad how often I suppress my inner voice. I have gotten better at understanding and looking for the energy that others give off… but I still don’t listen to what it means. So how exactly do we start listening to our intuition? Well, it’s a little complicated – but it is also simple in a way. Let’s see if we can figure this out...
Look for the energy
Learn to really feel the ‘vibes’ that others give you. If you feel something deep down about a person or a situation, and it doesn’t feel right- trust that feeling. You pick up on more than you think. When someone isn’t talking, you will still hear them. Your intuition is always listening and it is going to tell you the truth whether you want to hear it or not. So many times I have denied my intuition, telling it that it is wrong and that I am actually doing the right thing. And guess what? My intuition is always right. “I told you so” - your intuition. We have this conversation quit often actually. Do you know how easy my life would be if I just listened? I have gotten so much better at looking for energy and listening for my inner voice… I just need to actually start listening. (People won’t always tell you how they feel, but they will show you. Don’t pull a Kylie and be blind to the signs!)
Understand what the energy means
The energy that people give off will show you if they are compatible with you. The energy that a situation gives off will show you if you are in the right situation. Energy never lies. Try to start listening in on how the situation feels. That initial feeling that is overwhelming you? That right there is your answer. You might not be able to explain the energy that you are feeling and that is okay! You don’t need to explain it to anyone else. Your intuition is talking to you and it is going to steer you in the right direction.
Get in touch with your soul
Do what it takes to understand YOU more. This might tie into self-love a little bit, because we spend so much time trying to improve and understand our outer shell that we often forget what is inside. I believe the more we practice getting in touch with our soul, we will find that loving our outer shell is much easier and more natural.
Learn more about YOUR intuition
A way we can get more in tune with our intuition is through meditation and yoga. We can start to become one with our soul when we have practiced listening to it. Honestly, you know the truth by the way it feels. Listen to find that truth. Ask yourself- do you feel at peace? Can you feel weight being lifted off your shoulders? Do you feel negative energy being released? Give yourself a chance to answer these questions. Give yourself time to really figure out the truth. Sometimes we will find the truth quickly, and sometimes it might take a little longer. Either way – if you aren’t looking, you will never be able to find it. Practice looking. The more you learn and listen about your intuition, the stronger it will become.
“Deep down you always knew the truth”
Literally this quote explains my life in one sentence. When you know, you know… and you can’t deny that fact. I think that one of our biggest problems is thinking that we need to accept everyone for who they are. You are allowed to reject people. You are allowed to walk away. At any given moment you are allowed to do what is best for YOU… and NO you don’t need to explain it. Find that truth and exploit it for all that it is worth. Make your life clean. And honestly, life does have a way of repeating itself. You will be faced with certain challenges until you learn to overcome them. I have finally grasped a lesson that has been thrown at me for years now. I wish I had learned it the first time, but everything does happen for a reason and I am thankful I am where I am today.
And lastly, if you take anything away from this blog post, please take away:
Honestly, your intuition is a built in bullshit detector at the end of the day. I mean, if you were given a handheld bullshit detector… you’d use it, right? So why not use one that literally resides WITHIN you?

- When something feels off… it is.
- You know you made the right decision when there is peace in your heart.
- When you start to wonder whether you can trust a person or a situation… that is when you already don’t.
- ENERGY. NEVER. LIES.
- Look for the answer within the question that you ask.
- Ignoring signs is a good way to end up at the wrong destination.
- Your first instinct? Trust it.
