Hi everyone! So big news- I am going to start a weekly post every Monday. I am going to express my gratitude to my family and friends. I am not going to be posting in any specific order, when I feel someone needs a pick-me-up one week, I will most likely post something for them to start their week off on a good note!
Today my note is to Rachel Roch. I will warn you, it is long and very sappy.
Dear Rachel,
I am warning you now Rach, this will make you cry. Although, I think I should add, making you cry isn’t that difficult! I feel like normally when people start to write about their best friends they start out with ‘I don’t even know where to begin with you’, but Rach, I know exactly where to begin with you. I will first say that I am confident when I say you will be my best friend forever. You treat me like a freaking princess. If I need anything, you are there for me no questions asked. It could be something as simple as going grocery shopping with me, to giving me amazing advice. The amount of lessons that we have learned together is amazing. We both learn something new from each other nearly everyday. This would be the longest blog post ever if I tried to name them all. Just know that I am thankful for each and every one of them.
I find it hilarious nearly every time we hang out, or even just talk on the phone, we have a long really deep talk, or a debate. There are not many people that I can have a political debate with, but you are definitely one of them. I remember the time that we played ‘inspector gadget’ and went driving around looking for a fugitive that was on the run. (We weren’t seriously helping the cops; we were driving around being nosey haha!) But anyways—when we weren’t talking about how we were going to be famous because we were going to hunt down that fugitive, we were having a debate on prison and our position on prison funding and the death penalty. I have no idea why, but that was one of the best days we have ever had together. We can turn the more simple things into the greatest stories. We can talk for hours about anything and everything; it is one of the best things about our relationship.
On another note, thank you for never giving up on me Rachel. No matter what the situation is, whether it is me telling you for the hundredth time that I am going to eat healthy, when I decide to have a bad meal, you never hold it against me. You are a huge support system for me. You always remind me that no matter what happens, never give up. Life has its setbacks, those are inevitable, but you just have to make the most of it. When I had to do the behavior change project for my health class last semester, you helped me revert back to my positive ways. Whenever anything came out of my mouth that was negative, you made sure to point it out to me. You helped me follow those guidelines… you even followed the guidelines with me. You have no affiliation with that class, but you still chose to participate in something that was going to better you as a person. Now, that is the little Rachey that I raised ;)
I feel bad for a lot of people because they don’t have the honor that I have to get to know you. Hell, even if they have the honor to get to know you, they don’t have the honor to be your best friend, because I occupy that spot, and it isn’t up for grabs. You are one of the most genuine girls I have ever met Rach. We laugh over the silliest things, go on ridiculous spontaneous adventures, share the same likes and dislikes, and we can even do homework together. How many people can say that they can sit in silence for hours just doing homework with their best friend? I was so blessed to get to know you Rachel.
Well, now that everyone knows about our relationship, for those who don’t know Rachel Nicole Roch, let me enlighten you a little bit. She isn’t too difficult, unless you’re Nathan, then you would probably think she is the most confusing thing in the entire world, but she is a girl so it’s okay, right? She loves the color purple, she will never turn down a cup of coffee, and she would sit on her butt all day & watch Netflix if you let her. She is twice (maybe three times) smaller than me; she has beautiful curly blonde hair, and a really weird belly button that she covers up with her belly button ring. She is an amazing cheerleader and gymnast (pretty much everything I want to be in life). She has these ridiculous RANDOM talents; I can’t even name them all. She has one of the cutest, most genuine laughs that I have ever heard. She loves little kids and cries at almost anything, happy, sad, mean, or funny. She is literally one of the best human beings that I have ever met and I am so proud to call her my best friend.
Rachel, thank you for all the support, tough love, and happiness you have given me. I treasure our relationship more than you will ever know. You deserve the best of everything and I will make sure that you get nothing less. I protect you like my little sister because I truly believe in another life you were. When someone messes with you, I take it very seriously. You are my little baby.
I love you Wachey,
Kylie
